The Event continues
Saturday morning, 9:00

lunch in Fellowship Hall
which is covered by the
registration fee ($30.00
at the door). While
childcare is free, you
need to bring a sack
lunch for your child

2. Last year we did part
1 of Daniel. Beginning
March 20, we will be
holding the part 2
study, covering the
prophecies in the book
of Daniel. See Judy

MARCH YOUTH
LUNCH
This is a
heads-up for the March
Youth Lunch, to be held
March 9, at Karla
Welch's home. Youth
should plan to bring
sleds, weather
permitting.

AVALANCHE 08 (YEC)
This year, the
youth are scheduled to
leave at 10 a.m. on
Wednesday, March 12 for
a retreat in Anchorage.
Then March 14, the
Avalanche starts. They
will return Sunday
evening the 16th.
There is a mandatory
youth/parent meeting at
the Welch's home March
9, after the 11 a.m.
service (this is the
March youth lunch). The
group plans to be doing
similar activities as
last year, and
transportation is all
taken care of. Joshual
Lee, our prospective
Youth Director will be
joining us on the trip
so everyone will have a
chance to meet and get
to know him.

Grief Support Group
|
|
Once again,
Virginia Damron will be
holding a 6 week class
for those dealing
with loss (of any kind).
See her to sign up. The
classes meet once a week
and are scheduled to
begin March 10 if a
minimum of 4 people are
interested. There is no
charge.

Musical Program
Laura Bergh,
with all the musical
resources of UBC, is
preparing a special
Easter Musical to be
presented at 6 p.m. the
night of Easter Sunday
(March 23). Invite
friends and join us for
an evening of worship
and praise as we
remember what He did for
us!

Youth Director to be
Presented
The Minister of Youth Search
Committee wants to hold a
special called business meeting
on Wednesday, March 19th
at 6:45pm. We will be
presenting Joshua Lee and asking
the church to call him as our
part-time Youth Director. For
members who are interested in
meeting Joshua, he will be at
the following events:

at 5:30 p.m. there is a
meal planned for those
working on the play,
"Stranded at the
Airport.

Messages:
Pastor Gary will be preaching on
"An Awesome God" in both morning
services this Sunday. The 6 p.m.
evening service will feature the
Kevin Lankford play, "Stranded
at the Airport."
If you do not think you can make
it Sunday, the play will also be
presented this Saturday, the 1st
of March, at 7 p.m.

Postponed to March 9
Because of the play this Sunday
night, Kevin's lesson on
prophecy has been postponed to
March 9 at 6 p.m.

SPRING BREAK EVENTS:
Youth - Avalanche 08
This year YEC is called
Avalanche 08. The youth are
scheduled to leave meet at 9 am
on Wednesday 12 March for a
retreat in Anchorage, until 14
March when the Avalanche starts.
The youth will return Sunday
evening the 16th. The mandatory
parent-youth meeting will be at
the Welch's home the 9th of
March after the 11:00 am
service. We will be doing
similar activities to last year
and have our own transportation
too.
Movie/Ice Cream
Social for Children's Church
There is a special event planned
for Spring Break this year,
especially for those in
Children's Church and any child
wanting to be! There will be a
Movie in the Sanctuary, followed
by an Ice Cream Social
in Fellowship Hall on March 15.
The time will be from 1:30 p.m.
to 4:30 p.m.
Children's Church includes
children K through 5th grade and
they meet every Sunday morning
during the 11 a.m. service, for
a worship service geared to
them, except the first and fifth
Sundays of the month.
Children's
Church Cancelled in March
Because so
many of the teachers are gone
during March, there will be no
Children's Church in the month
of March.
